Our High Point Market Favorites: The Design Details We’re Loving for 2027

There’s nothing quite like returning from High Point Market with a camera roll full of inspiration and a head full of ideas!

As a Sarasota interior design studio, attending High Point Market gives us the opportunity to discover new collections, connect with exceptional makers, and explore the materials, craftsmanship, and creative details that will influence our upcoming projects.

This fall, we were particularly drawn to pieces with personality. Think sculptural lighting, unexpected textures, rich finishes, and furnishings that make you stop and take a second look.

Here are a few of our favorites.

Lighting That Stole the Show

Lighting was a standout this market, and we couldn’t get enough. Sculptural clusters of pendants, beautiful alabaster fixtures, capiz shells, coconut-inspired materials, and even unexpected pops of color caught our attention. We also loved the fresh interpretations of traditional pharmacy lamps.

Lighting is no longer simply functional. It’s an opportunity to introduce artistry, texture, and personality into a room.

Texture in Unexpected Places

We’re always looking for ways to bring depth and interest into a space, and this market delivered. Grasscloth and fabric-wrapped consoles, richly textured upholstery, and interesting woven finishes were everywhere. We especially loved seeing these materials incorporated into case goods, giving traditionally hard surfaces a softer, more tactile quality.

It’s these unexpected combinations that make furnishings feel distinctive.

Rich Materials & Beautiful Details

Chocolate-toned marble was a particular favorite, bringing warmth and sophistication to everything from consoles to accent pieces. We also spotted beautiful combinations of mixed metals, brass detailing, and leather accents incorporated into furnishings.

These small design decisions can completely change the character of a piece—and they’re exactly the details we pay attention to when sourcing for our clients.

Curves, Comfort & Conversation

Curved sofas continue to catch our eye, along with sculptural lounge chairs and beautifully tailored banquettes. We love how these softer silhouettes encourage conversation and create a more inviting environment. And when thoughtfully incorporated into a space plan, they can be just as functional as they are beautiful.

Rethinking Art & Display

Some of our favorite discoveries challenged the traditional idea of what belongs on a wall or inside a display cabinet. We spotted framed textiles and unexpected objects, antique-inspired mirrors, illuminated consoles, and beautifully lit shelving that turns everyday collections into something special.

A favorite reminder from market: art doesn’t always have to be a painting, and storage doesn’t have to be ordinary.

Nature With a Creative Twist

As a Florida interior design studio, we’re always interested in coastal influences that feel sophisticated rather than overly themed. This market, we loved oyster-inspired artwork, pomegranate details, and sculptural surf-inspired tables that offered a fresh interpretation of natural forms

Bringing It All Home

One of the things we love most about High Point Market is discovering pieces that push us creatively while expanding the resources we can offer our clients. But great design isn’t about incorporating every new trend. It’s about knowing which pieces, materials, and ideas make sense for the people who will actually live in the space.
